Wisdom is gold, understanding is Silver
We are called to forgive so that we can get out of the way and let God do His work.
There is nothing about forgetting in this.
If we forget we are apt to let a situation repeat.
That is not what Wisdom and Understanding is all about.

Holy Spirit told me ‘Wisdom is Gold and Understanding is Silver.’
God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 tells us ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.’ This tells us to seek understanding from the Lord.

Proverbs 16:16-19 Tells us wisdom is better than gold and understanding is better than silver. Yes & Yes. For sure. The point here is that wisdom and understanding that come from the Lord are the best there is and to seek these. Wisdom is still Gold and Understanding is still silver; as Holy Spirit told me.

Philippians 3:13 is about Paul forgiving himself and to stop holding his past against himself; thus to ‘forget’ as in to let himself move forward in his life in Christ no longer thinking about his past. This after 3 years of becoming the man who God was making him to be.

‘Here is the point…I (Lord) have nothing saying you have to accept evil where evil has not turned itself over to me (Lord). To forget the evil done here is a total lack of wisdom and understanding and everything I (Lord) stand for. The law of the land stands. The rest is up to me (Lord).’
The precept is ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind & love your neighbor as yourself. Are you protecting yourself or your neighbor if you let evil run rampant? No, you are not. You are turning your back to it and while your back is turned to it you will get stabbed by it. You are then no longer strong and able bodied as I wish for you to be. Be strong. Uphold the law of the land. This it was written for. Your strength will help all involved.’

Now this is both wisdom and understanding!

Do not let evil twist your mind. It will always try.
